Status of implementation of National Export Strategy
1. The National Export Strategy (NES) Implementation Plan was launched with the technical assistance of GIZ Germany and with the technical assistance of the International Trade Center (ITC) with the approval of the Union Government Meeting No. (14/2013) held on 26 April 2013.
2. Launching of Myanmar's National Export Strategy Planning Project and Opening Ceremony of the First Workshop 2013 May 2 to 4 in Nay Pyi Taw; Held at the Ministry of Commerce Expectations for the National Export Strategy from the first workshop; Objectives and 7 priority sectors to be implemented and 4 support sectors were identified.
The vision of the National Export Strategy is:
"Sustainable export-led growth and prosperity for an emerging Myanmar" towards export-led sustainable growth and prosperity for emerging Myanmar
The objectives of the National Export Strategy are:
To develop sustainable, inclusive and equitable export-led growth;
- Develop a rational, effective, predictable, transparent policy and regulatory framework;
Competitive by enhancing productivity and promoting innovation. To develop a complete range of high quality exports;
Establish modern trade support organizations that can meet the various needs of existing exporters and emerging exporters.
- Build physical trade infrastructure;

Second National Export Strategy Workshop
The Second Workshop on National Export Strategy Plan was held at the Ministry of Commerce . The Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and International Trade Center October 1-11, Yangon The meeting was held at the Federation of Traders and Industrialists of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Objectives and detailed action plans were drawn up.
The third National Export Strategy Workshop was held in collaboration with the International Trade Center in 2013. From November 25 to November 26, Nay Pyi Taw; Held at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce The third workshop focused on sectoral strategic objectives; A combination of objectives and detailed action plans was reviewed to bring it in line with the original objectives of the National Export Strategy, and a unified National Export Strategic Objective and Action Plan was developed.
Launching Ceremony of Myanmar National Export Strategy
2015 On 25 March, the launching ceremony of the implementation of the Myanmar National Export Strategy was held at the Myanmar International Convention Center-2 (MICC-II) in Nay Pyi Taw and was attended by Vice-Presidents(2) U Nyan Tun.

Kayah State-based tourism development project
Tourism is one of the priority sectors in Myanmar's national export strategy with the support of the Netherlands CBI (center for promotion of imports from developing countries) and technical assistance from ITC. We have been working on tourism development in Kayah State since August. The cost of the project is US $ 1. 9 million and the Kayah State Tourism Project will be implemented until 2017. For the implementation of tourism, Kayah State should be selected first and the development of tourism-related associations; Improving export capacity along the value chain of small and medium enterprises in the region; Tourism and regional trade links; We will work to improve technical cooperation.
Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, The Center for International Trade and the Center for the Promotion of Imports of Developing Countries in the Netherlands (CBI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 26 August 2014 to implement a joint venture with the Netherlands Trust Fund III. The project period is from 2014 to 2017 and the project cost is US $ 1.9 million.
Kayah State was first selected for tourism implementation and the number of tourism-related associations developed: Export capacity building for small and medium enterprises in the region along the value chain process; Tourism and regional trade links; We will work to improve technical cooperation.
The Project Steering Committee was formed in 2014 to promote tourism in Kayah State. It was formed on December 19. The ProjectSteering Committee meets every six months.
2015 The first PSC Meeting will be held on March 26 in Rangoon. The second PSC Meeting will be held in 2015. The third PSC Meeting will be held in Loikaw, Kayah State from September 29 to 30. 2016 It was held on 26 April at Mingalar Thiri Hotel (Nay Pyi Taw).

Oilseeds sector export revenue growth project
Pulses and oilseeds, which will be a priority in the national export strategy; The World Trade Organization (WTO) has approved a project for Improving food safety and compliance with SPS measures to increase export revenues in the oilseeds value chain in Myanmar to increase export earnings in the oilseeds sector in Myanmar. 4. The aim of the project is to improve food security in the oilseeds sector by increasing food security and implementing pest control practices. To increase the export income of farmers. The project will be implemented in central Myanmar, Mandalay, Sagaing Priority will be given to Magway Region. The estimated cost of the project is US $ 977,658 and the project period is from 2015 to 2018 for 3 years.
5. Base data collection on the project; Report writing; Market surveys have been conducted with the technical assistance of the International Trade Center (ITC). The Validation Workshop will be held in 2016 to review the findings of the survey and market research. It is planned to be held on June 6 and 7.

Initiation of the Trade Information Network Initiative
National Export Strategy Trade Information and Trade Promotion Sector Implementation Committee Implementation Committee; Initiation the setting up of the National Trade Information Network will be a pilot project with technical assistance from the International Trade Center (ITC) and funding from the UK Embassy (DFID). The project is a priority sector in the national export strategy and will establish a trade information network with government and private sector representatives to monitor the activities and decisions of local business organizations if the pilot project and future projects are fully implemented. Collecting trade-related information to provide support; It will create an effective system for screening and distribution. On March 9, To establish a trade network, the relevant departments / organizations have signed the Record of Discussion (ROD) of the Trade Information Exchange and will continue to sign the Letter of Intent (LOI).

Implementation structures
An office led by Director-General Aung Soe of the Myanmar Trade Promotion Board has been set up to support and coordinate the Myanmar Trade Development Committee at the national export strategy implementation and management phase.
Strong formation of sectoral working committees; Formation of sectoral working groups; Forming committees by region / state; Holding separate meetings by sector to select priorities; Negotiation Discussions on budgeting are ongoing.
The Ministry of Commerce, Yangon, has set up the National Export Strategy Implementation and Management Center to effectively carry out sectoral office work, with 11 sectoral office working groups.
